Climate change affects everyone - especially the economically weaker sections that have the least means to mitigate its impacts. The consequences can be observed in micro businesses like the food and craft industries. Climatic extremities coupled with unplanned workspaces result in low productivity and poor quality of life for the entrepreneurs involved. One such industry is churmuri or puffed rice making (an ingredient used to make a common snack at home or at eateries) - the first of a three part docu-series capturing instances of heat stress in workplaces.

Dare to Lead – Councilors of India, Challenges & Opportunities
Janaagraha

Councillors of India - Challenges & Opportunities is a short film that captures Janaagraha's journey across six cities following the life of councillors. 

This short film is in the backdrop of Janaagraha's and Dasra's report - 'City Leaders' , a landscape study with 65 councillors and 15 thought leaders across 16 states to establish the needs and opportunities for a Councillor Leadership Programme, with a focus on women councillors.

The 'City Leaders' was launched by Mr Aaditya Thackeray, Minister of Tourism and Environment, Government of Maharashtra. 

The short film and the report were released at “Dare to Lead: Empowering Local Women Leaders for Inclusive Cities”, on 21st March, at the 13th Dasra Philanthropy Week.
